About us
Season to Taste Kitchenware
opened in Spring 1993. The owners, Brian and Louise McPhail, both veteran retailers, wanted to combine their retail expertise with their love of cooking and baking. They chose a heritage building on the Main Street of Markham Village with a lot of charm and distinctive features. It was originally the office and printing operation of the Markham Economist newspaper in 1908.
Over the years Season to Taste has consisitently offered the community an alternative to the mass merchants in both quality and service. Those specialty kitchen items that leave them scratching their heads are supplied as a matter of course by the experts here. Every new kitchen tool and gadget brought to market in the last 17 years has been first introduced to Markham right here.

Our philosophy
Our philosophy is the same for kitchenware as for any other product and it’s simple. Buy the best you can afford and you’ll save replacing it later. Better quality products last longer and also provide better performance and ease of use. Can’t afford the best of everything? Who can? Prioritize according to use and invest more in those items you’ll use the most.
